| Individuals, businesses, trusts, and non-profit institutions may open standard investment accounts. A standard Green Century Funds investment account requires an initial minimum investment of $2,500. However, this requirement is reduced to $1,000 if you sign up for an Automatic Investment Plan and arrange for a minimum of $100 to be transferred on a monthly basis to your Green Century Funds account. |

As of 2008, you may contribute up to $5000 each year into a Green Century Funds Traditional IRA ($6000 if you are over 50 years of age). Individuals not covered by a retirement plan at work, and people covered by a retirement plan who meet certain IRS income guidelines may be able to deduct their contributions from their taxable income each year. | A Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) plan allows self-employed people and small business owners to establish SEP-IRAs for the business owner and eligible employees, if any. SEP-IRAs have specific eligibility rules and contribution limits (as described on IRS Form 5305-SEP). Otherwise SEP-IRAs follow the same rules as Traditional IRAs. If you are interested in opening a Green Century Funds SEP-IRA Account, in addition to reading the IRA Disclosure Statement and filling out an IRA Account Registration Form you will also need to complete IRS Form 5305-SEP.
